During his 25 years working with Fortune 500 companies, SRM founder and current Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer Curtis Downs repeatedly saw missed opportunities to minimize spending expenses and maximize profits. Companies saw millions of dollars added to their bottom lines as a result of Mr. Downs' unique understanding of the need for a strategic, rather than reactionary, purchasing model.
It was in 1992 that Mr. Downs decided to make this business strategy available to companies within a variety of industries by founding Strategic Resource Management. Since then, the SRM strategic sourcing model has been developed and enhanced to provide organizations with cost reductions that translate into improved profitability and a competitive advantage.
